best place to train in pre-searing?
I'm sure this has been asked before, but I had trouble finding it with search.
Where is the best place to level up in pre-searing? (for a W/E) Last edited by Thor; May 24, 2005 at 07:58 PM // 19:58.. |

There are area's all over the place to level up... if you just do the quest you will level in no time. I know that I was like a level 7 or 8 when I went post and that was with only doing like half of the quest that I could have done.

There are a few I liked to use when I was in pre-searing:
-Fort Ranik, a bit dangerous, but get exp pretty darn fast -Catatomb, even more dangerous, go with another player if you want to survive long down there. -The best one - do the missions. |

You could also venture past the nort wall and kill charr, but the quests alone will take you to at least 7 by themselves which is already more than high enough to get on with the real game.

Do the missions and kill everything in your path. The catacombs are a good place to go but if you go yourself your travels will be quite slow.
Going over the wall is also really nice, but you need a second person and the Charr there will kick your ass unless you are a certain level (depending on your profession, any of the major spellcasters will have a hard time). |

I found the best place for levelling is near Wizard's Folly. If you start at the fishing village east of there and work your way back west, past the road to Wizard's Folly and continue on until you start turning south. Keep going until you hit the mountains. All the way through there, you'll find level 3 mobs like bears and those robed bandits. Since level 3 is the highest mobs you'll find (aside from the occasional level 5 boss type), this is the quickest way to level. Also, if you are an elementalist, keep heading up through the mountains. You'll hit a lot of ice golems which are a piece of cake with fire magic and ice golems are also level 3.
As a monk, run through the catacombs. Smiting magic works wonders against the undead so those are all quick kills, although there aren't as many level 3 critters down there. |

I made it to lvl 9 (almost 10)before the post and all I did was kill everything in my path during the missions (except the Charr in over the wall, the killed very quickly). I would recommened doing the all the missions you can and don't auto-travel during them.... I went post-searing after almost everything in the Pre-searing was offering up 0 exp.... Now, I'm sure I missed a few crits and might've missed a few quests, but I was happy to be close to 10th when I crossed....
